How to train your students remotely with Mobile Learning?
ECE, general engineering school
ECE is a general engineering school whose mission is to train tomorrow's engineers. Created in 1919, ECE is one of the 205 French schools to deliver an engineering title accredited by the State.

“"I called on the creative team (...) and it was a real pleasure because the girls who were in charge of creating the content truly know how to present things. It was pure joy because, in the end, I wouldn't have been able to do half of the things they came up with.”

The client
ECE is a general engineering school established in 1919. It offers not only a 5-year program, with two years of integrated preparatory classes and 3 years of engineering cycle, but also Bachelor in Digital and M.Sc. programs. Recognized by the Commission des titres d'ingénieurs, ECE provides its students with an engineering title certified by the State.
In order to promote the school, ECE can count on all its students, including about sixty Ambassadors, whose role is to represent the school during events such as open days, fairs, and forums. But before going to these events, ECE students have to pass a complete and precise training in order to be able to answer all questions about the school. This training, delivered to all students from 1st to 3rd year, was previously given in person in the form of two 1h30 sessions (four for the Ambassador students), but since the beginning of the health crisis, the training format had to be reviewed.
The challenge
With the arrival of Covid-19 and confinement, ECE had to review its strategy. With courses and events going digital, the students' training was also digitalized. But, not like any other course. Since the school's course was not exactly a big hit with students, it was essential that:
- The course needed to be fun and engaging, and a contrast to the courses students were used to having. It had to offer unique, gamified training modules designed for mobile learning to best engage students;
- the courses were practical and accessible: the idea was that the training could be done anywhere and anytime, on phones, computers, at home, or in the subway;
- training makes students understand why they are important to the school program;
- the suggested solution has an evaluation tool that gives an overview of the students' progress to see who has completed the training and who has passed.
The solution
Beedeez has developed a global solution that meets all of ECE's needs. On the one hand, a white label application, also available as a web app, has been developed and made available to all ECE students. Through this platform, students can:
- Access the school's training courses when and where they want, and therefore train when they want.
- Take advantage of Mobile Learning optimized content made to measure by our training experts in order to provide a unique learning experience that promotes involvement but also retention of information.
On the other hand, administrators can accurately track the progress of each student using a collaborative back-office with a statistical tool to verify that they have completed the training.
The outcome
The use of Beedeez for school promotion training was a success. First, the use of Mobile Learning allowed us to digitalize training courses and therefore make them possible despite the current sanitary crisis. Without it, the course might not have taken place at all and the students would not have been trained.
Secondly, Beedeez's solution has saved us a lot of time. In fact, face-to-face training courses generally require many more resources, both physical and material: speakers must be available to provide training, rooms must be reserved, schedules must be checked, etc. With Beedeez, only one person is in charge of the project, leaving the others to concentrate on their missions.
On the other hand, the students were very satisfied with this type of training, they found it more practical and interesting. Thanks to Mobile Learning, they were able to learn whenever they wanted and were not obliged to travel to attend a course. In addition, the capsules created by our content teams made the training fun and attractive, which encouraged student involvement.
